I’m currently working as a bioinformatician at the Tytgat & Kemmeren groups, Prinses Máxima Centrum for Paediatric Oncology, in the Netherlands. At the Prinses Máxima Centrum, together with my colleagues, I investigate the potential of liquid biopsies as a diagnostic and prognostic tool. For this purpose, we compare the somatic aberrations found in cfDNA with the ones found in the tumor biopsy of the same patient.

I have a passion for programming, data analysis and visualisation. In addition, I believe it is important to share your knowledge and help your fellow researchers, that’s why I share my pipelines and other useful code on my Github page.

Due to the nature of my work at the Prinses Máxima Center, I haven’t been able to update my blog recently, though I still update my catch-all document with useful one liners (Link).
